All Is Well
All is well with Rick and I. "Love" was not quite how I'd express my fellings about January and the year end jobs at Cherry Welding. I do love January and the brisk temps. I seem to breathe better with that clean crisp air. Snow is all gone as of today.
Called Margaret tonight but got answering machine. Guess she was getting alot of calls tonight. My best to you, dear sis!
The ladies on Cowpen Neck Road played Canasta tonight (card game - not sure of the spelling). We play about 4-6 times a year and each time, I have to relearn the rules of the game. Still hoarse, but that didn't affect my game. Pumsy and I won. School's going well and we begin parent conferences next week. Not my favorite thing to do, but feel it necessary for the success of the students and the school. TaTa and Cheerio to you all! Bertha

Margaret's surgery was postponed until Tuesday at 7:30AM but it's not too early to start praying that everything goes well. She originally said that it would be better having it planned so that she could get her ducks in a row before the surgery but as someone who has been through unplanned and planned surgery, I'll take the unplanned, as least for the mental part and I think she would agree with me at this point. But I'm sure the doctors can do a better job with a planned surgery so this should turn out better.
Had a little fight with the garage door recently while trying to manuver around the plumbing truck that had parked in the driveway. Don't ask me why I didn't just ask them to move their truck. Anyway $300 poorer, my car is in fine shape again.
I love this time of the year with all of Christmas stuff still in my head, the quarter ending and the year ending. What fun!fun!fun! At least I've got my W2's done before anyone ask me "When are we getting our W2's?".

Hope everything goes well with your surgery tomorrow, Aunt M. I'm sure it's not at all what you wanted to go through. Bertha, hope everything is going well with you and Uncle Ricky. You're right.... he probably IS enjoying the silence!!! Ha!Ha!Ha! Joyce, I'm not sure about the fishing frenzy you are referring to, but Shawn did go two days a couple weeks ago and caught his limit one day and nothing the other. Fencing seems to be fairing well with him with the exception of the cold days. Spoke to Grandaddy the other day and they seem to be doing better. He and Joan had gone to town to pickup meds and he said it seemed to help her spirits just to get out. Hope everything is going well at the office of Cherry Welding and there new secretary. Looking forward to a little higher temps this week. Haven't talked to Terri much this week, but just an update for all you who don't know... She and Jack are back together. She said she felt like that was where she belonged. I hope she is being true to herself. Oh well... who am I to say. Everybody stay warm this week and Margaret I wish you the best. Lots of Love!!!! Christie

Just able to blog at home @ bbbrdb@inteliport.com and the blog has a new format. Hope all are fareing well in the lower temps. Rick's Aunt June is jealous that we have these low temps only a few days a winter. These are the norm for Minnesota winters. Having trouble talking because my voice is so hoarse. Rick probably is appreciating the silence when there is some. My best to you all. Bertha
