Jeremy's Grandfather

Jeremy's grandfather passed away this morning. This was Danny's dad. We were expecting it to happen for years, so it wasn't a shock. This man evidently had a will to live like no other. He lived in Florida, but they are bringing him back to Beaufort, NC for the funeral on Monday.

On a brighter note...hope everyone enjoys this wonderful weather for the next couple of days. Nice weather for all that yard work!

"Sisters camping in the raw (without makeup)!"

We missed all the family that wasn't there.

Amber (I helped) has decided that she doesn't want presents for Christmas, she wants to visit New York and see Phantom of the Opera. She also said that we'd visit Barry. She must really like him, because everytime New York is mentioned, she mentions Barry. When the airplane hit the apartment building in NY, she immediately said, Oh, No, I have a cousin in NY. I said, "Who?" She said, "Barry! Hey Barry, how close are you to the Broadway shows? Got 2 extra beds? I believe this present would be one she'd never forget!

I also thought I'd share an email from Howie: "Speaking of which, we painted Amber’s room yesterday evening and spent the morning putting plastic under the house. I spent almost 3 hours on the riding mower today just cutting the back yard. I used the push mower on Friday to cut the front so I could mulch the leaves. Have I mentioned we have 3 pecan trees and they are shedding leaves worse than our dogs shed hair." I know he loved the yard, but I can't imagine having to take that much time to mow the grass. I think someone had a good idea. He'll need to buy some goats. Can't wait to see the house this weekend. Margaret
Well, I guess I'm losing it. I sent Bertha a filter replacement for her air purifier and she called to thank me for it. It seems that her purifier is not blinking to indicate that the filters need changing. I would have bet money that she had told me that it was. That's the reason that I sent it. Well, I emailed Chris and Michelle to ask if they had told me that theirs was blinking saying CHANGE. Guess what, they had. As Michelle says, "We're blinking like crazy". WELL, I guess it could have been worse, at least someone had told me, so I was not imaging it. As I blogged before, Michelle started a job last week. To quote her, "I LOVE absolutely LOVE my job." We're looking forward to seeing them at Thanksgiving. Talk to all soon. Margaret
