Dad is having a great day. And Amber is pushing me to get off the computer, so BYE!

Dad's surgery

Bertha called a bit ago and said that Dad's surgery went well, nurse said he was a model patient. He is sleeping and, barring complications, will be released today.

Grandaddy's Surgery

Per Bertha-----Grandaddy has to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 7:45a.m. His gall bladder surgery will be performed laproscopically. Afterwards, he will be staying at Bertha & Ricky's for recovery period. That's all I know. Margaret is staying with him tonight and I assume will be taking him to hospital in the morning.

Update

Well, as y'all know, I've been home a couple of weeks. Trying (unsuccessfully) to keep myself disciplined to some sort of schedule now that I'm on 30 days leave until mid September. Will try to start running again tomorrow. I've been a little sore after working in the garden the past 3 days.

It was good to see the Summerlins(x5), Ricky and Bertha and Granddaddy a couple of weekends ago. Had to miss out on Ralph's, though, given we had Kayla with us.

We're trying to find a dog-sitter for Kayla for the camping weekend. Will get back to you on this. We plan on coming if we can. Will send reservation #'s for that weekend ASAP. Can't wait to see everyone.
