Dad's surgery
Bertha called a bit ago and said that Dad's surgery went well, nurse said he was a model patient. He is sleeping and, barring complications, will be released today.
Dad did come home today and had dinner tonight, soup and crackers. He seems to be feeling pretty well. After having dinner, I suggested that he take a pain pill since he was suppose to take it with food and I was afraid that if he did not take pill before going to bed that he might regret it before morning. I hope he feels half as well tomorrow as he did today and everything will be okay. The nurse indicated that the next two days will probably be worse than today. She had the surgery recently and advised him that even though he might be sore, it was so much better to move around. He really is amazing for someone his age. I came home tonight and will go back on Monday to relieve Bertha so she can go to school on Tuesday. I hate to leave Chris' family in Nags Head, but have to do what I have to do. Margaret
