Just to let you know, Aunt B., Emma said she had more fun at VBS than she does at her school. Thanks for your patience with her and the willingness to keep her 'til I got off work in the afternoons. She's still asking about the orange helicopter/plane???
I took a field trip with Emma and the rest of her daycare class yesterday to the Aquarium on Roanoke Island. They may have renovated it but there sure wasn't much there to see. We had a total of 21 with two teachers, and 4 parents. We had no guide, which I thought was weird. Had a nice picnic lunch under two small umbrellas, but the weather was nice.
Ashley's actual due date is August 23, 2006. She continues to have some slight contractions, mostly they wake her up in the middle of the night. Is this a sign of things to come or what?!?!?!?!? Ha!
For you teachers.... Are you teaching to make a difference or is it just a job?

I, too, have been reading, but haven't had time to respond. Dad and I had a great time visiting all the Happy Home folks at Nina Byrum's 90th birthday party on Saturday. Just finished VBS last week. I taught the three and four year old class. There were 11 with Emma and Clay being two of them. I also kept Emma, Clay and Amber most afternoons, so now you know why I haven't written.
Just like Howie, and all teachers, with the beginning of August, comes thoughts of going back to school. I guess we have to get mentally ready first. Good luck everyone, I hope you all get good teachers, ones who are patient, loving and understanding - just like Howie!
