I'll need some help

I was born on August 29, 1969 (contrary to SSA office who thought it was 08/26/69) to Richard and Gloria Byrum Stallings in Suffolk, VA at OBICI Hospital. I weighed 8 lbs. 13 ozs. Not much hair, but boy was I cute!!! That's all I know other than I share my birthday with Michael Jackson, not that it's anything to write home about! Does anybody know anymore?

Birth

Write a brief paragraph about your birth. Those who have no memories might have to ask around.
I was born on December 4, 1946, the second child to Cecil and Emma Byrum. I was born at home in Chowan County at the old homeplace. I believe there was snow on the ground because I recall Dad talking about him having the mumps and having to get out in the snow to go to Center Hill to get the doctor. He said the mumps went down on him (if you know what that means) and he was not sure he would be able to have more children. He said this was the reason Gloria and I were so close in age, he was testing the waters. I don't think I have my birth certificate (Do I need that before I start drawing social security?) so I'm not sure how much I weighed but I recall being told repeatedly what an ugly baby I was, scrawny with no hair until I was about 3. Look at me now, I'm not scrawny anymore but my hair is still thin and getting thinner. So is life!

I like the house Cathy and Jeremy. Joyce told me she was really tired from helping you pack, but I think she enjoyed being with you.
We had a nice weekend in Macon with Chris' family. We celebrated Chris' birthday at a place similar to Jeepers, only didn't have bumper cars, but did have a virtual roller coaster, which I chose not to try. I don't like the real thing, so why try this. A couple of Chris' friends spent the night with him. We stayed at Beverly's because Cortlyn now is using a single bed, rather than a double. Since Beverly has five bedrooms and lives really close( walking distance), we opted to stay there rather than sleep on the sofa bed. Cortlyn stayed with us on Thursday and Friday nights and Mandi stayed on Saturday. We got back home on Sunday night.
Update on the kitchen, the flooring went down on Monday - Wednesday. Tomorrow the carpenter/painter comes and put down the floor molding (I don't think that's what's it called) does the last work and touchup. On Friday the tile mans comes back to seal the grout. On Monday the cleaning company comes and cleans the entire downstairs. I work every night trying to put things away as best I can. For a kitchen that was suppose to be done in time for me to put things back before the Super Bowl, 2/5, 2/27 does not come too soon. I'm really tired of it all, but am glad that we did it.

Isom's New Home

If all goes smoothly, Cathy & Jeremy plan to close on the house Friday and move in this weekend.

Valentine's Day Part III

The Love Shack
by The B-52s

If you see a faded sign by the side of the road
that says 15 miles to the...

Love Shack!
Love Shack yeah
I'm headin' down the Atlanta highway,
Lookin' for the love getaway
Heading for the love getaway, love getaway,

I got me a car, it's as big as a whale
And we're headin' on down
To the Love Shack
I got me a Chrysler, it seats about 20
So hurry up and bring your jukebox money.

The Love Shack
is a little old place
where we can
get together.
Love Shack baby,

Love Shack bay-bee.
Love baby, that's where it's at,
Ooo love baby, that's where it's at.
Yeah.
