Jeremy and I are still here. We have been very busy keeping up with a new puppy and an old Millie. Jeremy rescued a 2 month old puppy he found alone in the cold rain a few weeks ago. She is a handful...likes to bite anything including Millie. We thought Millie was tolerating her well until she snapped a couple of days ago. We saw and heard Millie attacking Maple, so we pulled Millie off. Maple went running and screaming. All we saw was a heavy blood trail following her. Jeremy picked her up and blood was gushing out of her eye socket. We were very scared that her eye was missing. Luckily, this all happened the same night the vet stays open late. We rushed her to the vet, and everything seems to be okay. Maple's eye was not injured. The tissue surrounding it was pierced pretty good though. Hopefully, Millie understood her punishment, and it won't happen again. Once the puppy has gained more weight, it shouldn't matter. For now, we are keeping close tabs on the two of them. Other than that, nothing much going on in Colerain...just hoping State can get another piece of Duke in the tourney, Gene!

And on camping, we would love to go in the spring and fall.

Happy belated birthday to Michelle and Lol. Happy upcoming birthday to Kyle! Howie, better to BUSY than bored! Chris, again good luck with all interviews. I'm sure you'll get just what you're looking for. Glad to hear you are doing so well Aunt Margaret. I didn't realize you were back at work until I talked to Aunt B. on Saturday. I know that brightens your days just being able to get out. You have such good friends in Cecil and Fran.

Aunty Joyce....Ashley and Corey are with me this weekend (3/19) and every other weekend till the end of the year. Anytime you plan on those weekends is good for me.

Anybody heard from Cathy or Jeremy? I haven't heard much from them lately. How about Barry?

Have another cheerleading competition this weekend at William and Mary. This is a two day one. I'll probably on go on Saturday since I'm sure that's all Emma will be able to stand. WIsh us luck!

Blog at you later!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Happy belated birthday Michelle and Lol. Would loved to have been in Florida last week too! I am looking forward to having the week after Easter off. Don't plan to go anywhere, just will try to stay home an do a "little" spring cleaning! Don't mention it to Rick, he'll be expecting too much!

School is going well and we've begun enrolling for next fall. "Mums" is the word, but I'm not sure that I'll be there next year. The director of personnel of public schools contacted me in November about a job for this year. I was committed to the parents at the Little Goose Nest and would not leave, but I did put in an application. The job would be director of the preschool/child care for the Edenton Chowan Schools's Employees's children only. The class would be open from 7am-6pm (I think), but I would only be working 7 hours a day, with full time benefits. I spoke to the director of personnel in February. She told me it would be April before she knew anything about next year, but asked me to contact her before I commit for another year to the Goose Nest. We'll see.

I am enjoying seeing Amber and Clay most days now. Hannah is keeping Clay at the office and Amber gets off the bus there. Speaking of Clay, he stumbled last week, hit his cheek on the coffee table and took a trip to the ER for stitches- the glue kind, if you know what that means. Amber always has lots to tell me when I see her.

Don't hear from Ben too often. Since the music director at St. Martin's quit in December, he's been doing both the music and the Dir. of Children's Education job in Williamsburg. Keeps him hopping. He told me last Sunday that he has to go to bed on Saturday night at 9pm just to survive the busy Sundays. He plays for the 8am and the 11am service, involved with the "Sunday school" program between the two services, and has to be at the mission in Norfolk from 5pm-9pm.

I kept Emma for Christie last Saturday. We had a good time.
Emma has a large vocabulary! You'll all be very surprised when you see her next!

Joyce- checked my calendar, and I am available most any weekend, but May 14,15, and 16th. I am assisting Sharon Waff Dowdy in a neighbor's daughter's wedding. Even though I teach S/S, I can trade and have off when ever the camp out is planned. Are we talking about a spring weekend or a fall weekend? Everybody else, SPEAK UP and let her know when you are or are not available. I REALLY MISSED THE CAMP OUT LAST YEAR!!!

Enjoying life, even though it can be hectic sometimes. Usually that's from lack of planning. The planning is the worst part. I just want to show up and fly by the seat of my pants - that seldom works and I crash! I guess that's where being a assistant was better that being the teacher.

Glad to hear all the good news about all the children do well in all their endeavors. Good luck and keep up the good work, parents!

Love, Aunt B (that's what Christie and Emma call me)

Today is Michelle's Birthday. Happy Birthday, again, Michelle. Tomorrow is Lol's Birthday. Happy Birthday, Lol. They are back from Disney World. Sounds like they had a great time, but think a week was long enough. Gene was sick this weekend, starting throwing up about 4:30 AM Sunday morning, missed work Sunday and Monday. He was suppose to work a funeral both days. I told him he needs to plan better. Don't get sick when he's suppose to work. He's not 100% yet, but definitely feeling better. He ate a grilled cheese tonight and thinks he'll work tomorrow. I'm now working Monday-Thursday but not as long. I'm feeling great! No pain, YEA!
