I had my PET scan today and all went well. I'll not have any results until some time next week. Hope all have a good weekend. Margaret

Thanks be to God. I have gone from probably having lung cancer to probably not having cancer. The specialist did not think that my x-ray warrented doing a c-scan. The location of the shadow on the x-ray didn't even match the location of the spots on the scan. There are three spots on the lung, two of which are so small that if they were the only ones, he would do no more testing. Could be anything even from years ago, maybe even from the clot that went to my lungs after the accident. He gave me a prescription for an antibotic to make sure there was no infection that caused the lymph glands to be swollen. He has ordered a PET test (I believe that's the way it is spelled) which I believe is a sophisticated c scan. There is only one machine in the area and all doctors use it. He has to send them a transcript of our office to request that they schedule it with me. Then he'll do the scope (forget what it's called; I hape paperwork on it, but not with me) where he'll go through my nose I believe and look inside my lungs. He'll get a sample or specimen, not a biopsy, when he's there. Due to the location, a biopsy would require major surgery. He does not feel that I have cancer and he could not believe the doctor in the emergency room had told me that. He said that the radiologist's report did not have the wording to warrent him telling me that. I'm sorry that I put you all through this. I'm not one to suffer by myself, I wanted the prayers in case it was cancer. I appreciate all of you. Gene and I are going to the movies tonight. He's heading downtown right now to pick me up. Talk to you later. Love ya, Margaret

Happy Birthday to Ben tomorrow. Sorry Ben, I have not mailed card yet. I worked until 8:30 tonight and did not stop and pick up card. Sorry. Hope you have a great day. I'll take you to lunch or dinner if you're ever available. I know that you stay busy.
