Everyone is invited to the Summerlin home on Saturday, December 19. We will TRY to eat around 1:00. Everyone is asked to bring a dessert if they like or nothing at all if they like or anything they like, except Terri. She is asked to bring her delicious lasagna if she has time. I'm sure in her line of business, it's very busy this time of year.
We will pool our monies that everyone has been deligently collecting and send it to the Heifer Organization. This is totally voluntary and people can give or not and certainly not feel guilty. If one prefers to donate their money to another place, that's fine. It's Christmas. Everyone can do whatever makes them feel good inside. I feel that our families have been so blessed that we might just try this for a year.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on the 19th.
PS Did I leave anything out?

Byrum Christmas
Christie, I'm not posting this because of your question to Joyce, but opened the blogg to do so anyway. Lol had suggested today that I post what I know. There seems to be some confusion about our Christmas get together. We are meeting at Joyces on Saturday, December 19. Joyce says we'll plan to eat around 1 pm. Joyce is doing the main course (ham, I remember)and vegetables. She wants everyone to bring something that does not have to be reheated. It is just too confusing if everyone has to heat up their dish. Bertha is bringing either potato salad or her marinated vegetables and a dessert. I'm bringing my congelled cranberry salad and dessert. As usual, I'm sure we'll have lots of desserts. As far as gifts, children under the age of 18 will receive gifts. We will be collecting money to send to Heifer International. No gag gifts this year. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but maybe Joyce can add to this.
