Mother's Day weekend is out for us too. Depending on what is planned for Dad's Birthday (June 16) and father's day, we hope to maybe come up for the weekend. Cortlyn already committed us for that weekend while we were home at the beginning of this month "because we always go to Grammy and Pop's for Pop's birthday". She's a sweety. Happy belated birthday Jeremy. Guess I need to update my planner and reminders, huh?

Kids just finished the Ga CRCT testing (for promotion to the next grade) this week. I think it went well. Chris' math teacher told me that Chris was capable of getting a perfect score on the math, based on all his practice tests. We had a pack camp out 2 weekends ago on Lake Tobesofkee with archery, B.B. gun shooting, shooting paintballs with high-speed sling shots and fishing. Neither Chris nor I caught anything. Hey, we're Belvins. However, we got some good casting practice and the crickets got a swim. I am now the pack Training Coordinator, meaning I'll be tracking the training requirements for the pack leadership on spreadsheets and help the Cubmaster keep track of which den leaders get which leadership badges.

Job hunt's steadily weakening. Both the counselor at unemployment office and I agreed today my best bet is to join the Army Guard and go back to school with their tuition assistance program. I can do everything the companies want me to do, but I don't have the required science degree they want. So, Friday I meet with the Guard recruiter to get my Officer candidate packet together. However, I did just get back my test results from the test I took for Dept of Treasury last Friday and I am eligible for positions with both the Dept of the Treasury and as a Special Agent for ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Fire arms and Explosives) - you know, the guys that took down David Koreshi and his group down in Waco, Texas back in the early 90's. Now they look at my resume I sent with my packet. I'll probably call them later this week or early next week to find out what the next step is, although I think we're just supposed to sit and wait for them to call us.

Well, I've blogged on long enough. Will save some for another day. Take care everybody.

Gene thinks it's too soon for me to consider going camping. He thinks I should make sure my leg is healed before I go. Even though if everyone else was going, I'd probably like to go, but I know at this point it would be difficult for me to get around the camp site.
Happy belated birthday to Jeremy also! Hope everything turns out well for you Margaret at court. Good luck on your new house addition. Hope ya'lls goes faster than ours did! Just to let everyone know... I'm having Emma's 2nd birthday party on Saturday, May 8th around 4:00. Planning to have a cookout and eat around 5:00. Hope to see anyone that wants to come. Could you blog back so I'll know how many to plan for??? Thanks! Sorry I can't go camping that weekend Aunt B.:.(
Bertha has mentioned going camping Mother's Day weekend. Are you in or out?
