Happy Birthday to Ashley. You should receive your card in a few days. I've had it for a few days, but just mailed it today.
I'm a little confused with the blogg, it says that the latest blog was 2/4, but there does not seem to be one since about 1/31.

Well, we're definitely not doing super bowl here. I was not happy with the installation of the trim on the counters on Monday and asked the owned of company to stop by on Tuesday. He also was not satisfied. Even though Gene did not want me to tell him that we would not be having super bowl here, I did. Because I wanted him to have time to do the job right. He was very relieved and said as much. He would have tried to fix the problem, but it would not have been right, just better. They are totally redoing the counters. I love the cabinets, but not the work on the counters. They had to reorder the materials and I think the owner will be here working on Monday with the man that been doing the kitchen. He is fairly new with them and had never done this trim before. The person who is driving me crazy is the painter and man redoing some of the trim on the doorways. He was here yesterday. I left right after lunch to do some errands. He supposed got pulled to another job. He left his assistant here, but he was not here when I got home about 3:30 - 4. They had been painting in the laundry room behind the washer and dryer. They both left before finishing. My dryer was left disconnected. The can of paint with about two inches of paint left, was left open with the paint brush in it. Of course, it's paint that I paid for.
I had the cell phone of (not the owner) but the next in line boss and called him. I finished painting behind the washer and dryer and he came out today and connected the dryer. I told him how unhappy I am with the painter. The kitchen man is doing the best that he can and is really conscientious (sp), but the painter is doing things, like where I patched a crack and it needed sanding, he painted right over it. He painted over bonding glue from the counter tops. I knew he was planning to paint on Tuesday so I worked about two hours on Monday might removing the glue, but they redid one area and he just pained over it.
He's not a kid, but someone with lots of experience and he knows better. His boss had not been able to get in touch with him today earlier, but after coming out here he reached him. And he called and apologized all over the place. He said he came back around 3 and thought that his assistant had only gone to 7-11 and would be back-that he didn't know that he had left for the day. He has off on Monday, asked off for the day after super bowl. We'll see how things go with him on Tuesday.

When I decided to have super bowl at Val's, it took the pressure off. Don't know how I would have every gotten it back together even if they had finished. I thought even without the tile and floor, we would have it here.

We'll have a kitchen party in a few weeks or months, we'll see. I won't set a date until finished.

This may not be the best place to do this but here goes.....

Ashley has moved back home as of Friday, 1/27/06.....Yea, right????

She's not alone!!!!! Seems there will be another addition to the family sometime in August, 2006. In case you can't tell, I'm not at all happy about this. Simply b/c she's is not mature enough to handle this. I know what ya'll (Aunts B, M & J) are saying... neither was I. BUT, it is an entirely different situation. Scott had a full time job, I had a part-time job that paid really well and had the capability to go full time. We both had savings and TWO vehicles. Ashley's situation is much different..... She has a part time job which pays well except that she doesn't get much time b/c of her school schedule....WHICH SHE WILL NOT COMPROMISE! She has vehicle that constantly has strange problems. He (Jeff) works when he wants or can and DOES NOT have a vehicle. By the way, he is the same guy that was at Christmas gathering.

Don't take this as a plea for money......DO NOT SEND ANY!!!

Also, I haven't had the opportunity to tell Grandaddy so please let me do that before saying anything.

She has no clue what she is in for. I'm quite bitter about this can you tell???? Anyway, I just needed to let everyone know and please keep her and myself in your prayers.
