I'm having a SURPRISE birthday party for Gene June 19 starting at 4 pm. He is turning 60 this month. I'm having a barbeque similar to Chris' welcome home party. Everybody is invited. Please let me know if you can or cannot come. Belated happy birthday to Amber Elizabeth. I've now mailed your card. I'm so bad, I've had the card for at least a month, but slipped up mailing it. Hope Bertha and Amber are enjoying Bible School this week. Please let me know asap about Gene's party.

Howie and Lol will be here but Chris' family will not. Chris leaves this weekend for Florida for National Guard for two weeks. With Michelle now working full time, it's too much for her to drive after she gets off work on Friday and then have to be back at 8 am Monday morning.

Dad has a check up at the doctor tomorrow and he is going to ask him about the "knot" on his neck. Joan mentioned it to me about a month ago and now it seems to be larger and slightly red. Didn't know if she had mentioned it to any of you.
Amber and I are enjoying VBS this week. Clay's a little to young to go yet. After this week, I'll begin to slow down and enjoy the summer! Hope you all will also. Howard, what's the report from the doctor about your shoulder? Gotta skat! Bertha
