Just spoke to Mom, she says Dad's more alert each time she sees him, and that he's more alert in general than his surgeries in 2005. Mom's spending tonight in the waiting room, but can be reached on Dad's cell at 252-532-6881. Like Cathy said, Dad's recovering in the intensive care unit but should be moved to a room in the morning. Dad is out of surgery & headed to intensive care for the night. The doctor said everything went well. He should be staying in the hospital for about 4 days. Thanks for the prayers.
