Had a nice time at the Norfolk Zoo today for Clay's 2nd birthday. Those who attended were Hannah, Clay, Amber, Amber's friend, Danielle, (who also happens to be Richard Earl's step granddaughter), Christie, Shawn, Emma, Ricky and myself. Poor Jason was hit with a terrible case of stomach cramps yesterday and was unable to go. After hospital test, the diagnosis is Crohn's disease. He sees a gastric doctor next week. I understand that if he successfully changes his diet, all should go well. After a nice picnic lunch and a Barney cake, we all enjoy our day with the animals (wild animals are the ones that I'm speaking of). The weather really cooperated! Looking forward to seeing everyone when we camp! Watch out for Hurricane Ivan! Love, Aunt B

Had a nice time with Joyce and Margaret at the Outer Banks this weekend. Learned how to play Tripoly. Gene won! Weather was beautiful - sunny, warm and breezy! Very unlike Francis in Florida. School begins tomorrow. Eleven 3 year olds will keep us pretty busy on Tuesdays and Thursdays until they learn the "ropes". Should be interesting! Good luck tomorrow Christopher, with your interview! Amber continues to have a good year in the multiaged room. Her teacher is very motivating! Clay and Amber spend Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with me. Most of the time, Clay's taking his afternoon nap. Amber is trying very hard to learn to ride her bike. We're so proud of Clay - he's potty trained and he'll just be two next week. I hear that Emma is also potty trained! You moms are doing a good job.

Let's talk food and camping! Do we all want to take our own food or plan a menu like before? We need to make a decision. See yall on the 15th! LOVE Aunt B
