Could anyone guess that I didn't know how to spell lasagne (still does not look right but it's on the box of lasagne noodles) , forgot to check before I published it. Joyce, I do remember now; seems to happen more and more often, oh well, I guess I can't expect it to get better. I'll just let my inner child out more often and not worry about it, age, that is.

Happy New Year!

These were part of my gag gifts from Christie, remember? They were bringing out the inner child in us as Christie suggested. Actually we were trying to freak out the dogs but they didn't seem to notice that we looked any different. The shoes were my gag gift to Gene and I'm glad someone got some use from them. Is anyone else using their gag gifts? Ed keeps pressing the Viagra Gel dispenser but so far no results, but it is building up his arm muscles.
Hope that everyone has a safe and happy new year, particularly you, Chris. We look forward to seeing you when you get home.

Joyce, I didn't know that your family did gag gifts also, or so it seems.
We had a very nice Christmas, lots of miles on the roads, we met Michelle and family at Howie and Lol's on Wednesday, the 21st, my and Gene's 42nd anniversary. We exchanged gifts on Thursday night and Michelle, the children, Gene and I left for Macon about 1 pm. We went to Christmas eve services with them, her mother, sister and her friend, her grandfather and his wife. We took up an entire bench. We went to the 5 pm service and the church was filled. I told Michelle I didn't think there would be anyone left for the 11 o'clock service. After services, we went to Michelle's mothers for dinner of lazo and speghetti and had a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to Jesus. Michelle's mother, Beverly, came over for the children to open all of their gifts and then she left so she could get some sleep. She had to work that night. Dianna and Gerlaine came over for a while that afternoon. All in the house had a lazy day and did not even get dressed, except for Gene. We didn't even get dressed for dinner, which was nice. We left Macon on Monday morning and went to Charlotte and spent the night with Clark, Gene's brother and came home on Tuesday. We've seen everyone except Gene's father, he backed out of our plans to bring him to Norfolk on the Friday before we went to Joyce and Eds. We plan to go see him this weekend. Hope everyone Christmas was as enjoyable and busy as ours. By the way, don't know who brought the slippers that Gene got, but I sure am enjoying wearing them. The grandchilds loved them too. Thanks to all for our gifts. Also, thanks, Joyce for remembering our anniversary. I wish I could do as well at remembering. Well I didn't do well when I was younger, so I don't know how I can expect to remember now. Of course, I do remember mine. Love to all, Margaret
