Well, I wasa little disappointed that we missed the family get together on the 13th, but maybe with all the sicknesses going around we fared better down here? Mandi did have the coughs for a couple days and Thurs evening Corky got sick and my buddy Chad (who's place we were at Thursday) was sick Thurs and Friday. Either way, I hope eveyone is feeling better. Better to get it over with before Christmas, right???

Well, it official: I AM a civilan now. Feels kind of weird after 8 years of being in the Army and not being very fond of civilans- unless you're friends or family. Most of the civilian employees on post were either useless or acted high and mighty because of our dependence on them. Anyway, waiting to hear back from Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) about a possible job with the Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) dept. job with them in Atlanta. Got my resume in on the 4th (because of a little networking) and the job was posted to the public on the 5th. The REP manager (a friend of Michelle's cousin) e-mailed me on the 9th or 10th and asked when I was getting out of the Army. Hopefully that's a good sign. If I get the job, I'll be training city and county emergency services personnel around Ga's 2 nuclear power plants in Waynesboro and Baxley. If not, I'll probably go into the Air Force. They take better care of their personnel than the Army.

Went up to Toccoa, GA yesterday afternoon (about 5 min south of SC border) for Michelle's youngest sister, Suni's, wedding. Rather not talk about that. Had a good time with Michelle, her sister Dianna and their friend Gelaine on the way up and back though. Been busy today unpacking boxes and moving things around. Still have LOTS of work to do. Can't wait to see Mom and Dad on the 23rd and Howie and Family on the 26th.

Take care everybody and beat that darn flu bug. Oh, and yes, I am very excited that we got Saddam. I think at least half a dozen people called me last Sunday to tell me between 7am and noon.
