This week's question is: Were you baptized or dedicated as an infant? If so, where and by whom?
I accepted Jesus as my Savior during a VBS. Rev Chandler did the evangelism emphasis talk even though he wasn't our pastor at the time. We were between pastors. I remember feeling led to make a decision but could not make my legs stand up. I felt that I had a concrete block in my lap so I did nothing at the time but I knew that by doing nothing, I had made a decision that I couldn't live with. When the invitation was given the next time, I went up and accepted Jesus. After I started up the aisle, I felt that I was walking on air. I was baptized at Cannons Ferry. I don't remember who did the baptism but I remember being cold and embarrassed at having to get dressed in one of the fishhouses (I guess) with other people around. I don't remember anybody else who was baptized at the time but I remember there were quite a few people. It might have been a combined baptism service with other churches. I remember Mama being there helping me get dressed.
Cathy had another mole removed last Friday. The doctor was still not concerned about the knot on her neck and could not schedule surgery until sometime in December so she decided to wait until the first of the year to pursue it as December is a terrible time to be off at the bank.
