Ben, where were you back when we were trying to figure out how to put pictures on the blog? Get us some instructions. And of course we want all of the pictures. Send them on. It took me a while to figure out when the pictures were taken and I'm still not sure I remember. Was it a Byrum reunion or Daddy's birthday or what? Bertha, it's the first time I've ever thought you favored the Laytons but you sure looked like Esther.

Ed has started his radiation treatments again this week and seems to be handling them so far. He'll only have 4 more treatments. The chemo doctor advised against starting the chemo again since Ed's weight is still down but he had gained 4 pounds when he went to the doctor today. A lot of people around here have been sick with something lately and I think Ed may be coming down with it. He is running a temperature tonight but doesn't feel too bad so hopefully it will pass without getting him down. Three people at work have already had it. Michele missed 3 days work this week and she still doesn't sound too good. I'm doing all I can to stay well.

If Ed is well enough, we plan to go to Elizabeth City on Saturday to a memorial service for his cousin Sylvia's husband who died on Sunday or Monday. His name was Tom Parsons and he was a very sweet man who loved life. Sylvia is Uncle Raleigh's oldest daughter.
