Joyce, where did you get that picture.
Gene and I am really tired tonight. Our pond has been leaking bad for about two weeks. Recently we have had to add water every day. Our water will should be high. We bought a new liner and redid the pond today. More work than I had anticipated. Of course it did not start out too well. I steped on the side of one the slate pieces around the pond and it slipped and I was in the pond. I don't think it injured my knee, but it did hurt for a while. I was not able to get up for a while. It is hurting some now, but I think I just strained it. I don't know which one it frighted the most, Gene or me. Before we finished, I was wondering why we didn't just pay someone to do the work. It sure seemed like much more work than the first time I did it. Gene and I can't remember how long it's been in, it was just before the big hail storm that we had.
All I know is I'm now older and not as in good shape as I was the first time.
Our church is beginning to have small group dinners each month. I was crazy enough to volunteer to host the first one. We have two young couples with children and the minister and his family. The minister and his wife just had their first child. It is the first time in over 60 years that a minister in our church has had a child while being here. The problem with hosting the first dinner is I have been trying to come up with a night that we can do it. I suggested next Friday night to Gene and found out that hockey season starts next Friday night. I've just checked the schedule and there is a home game every Friday and Saturday nights in October except Saturday the 15th and I'll be attending a workshop all day that day until about 6 PM.
I may try for a Sunday after church.

Anyone who wishes to send Chris a card for his birthday, may want to get it in the mail soon. He has told us not to send any thing to his current address after about the 10th, because he will be changing locations.

I think I'm going to soak in a hot tub for a while. Goodnight everybody. Love to all, Margaret
