I talked to Bertha today. Mr Blanchard is having a hard time adjusting as all expected. He fell on Tuesday. It seems that he is not getting rest or eating much because he is constantly walking the halls. Last night Ricky got a phone call, he had gotten out. He is wearing a monitor on his ankle to set off alarm when he gets near the door, but there was also something else going on that made them miss the alarm and he went out with a visitor. They had not missed him, but when a nurse came back from dinner, she found him in the parking lot. They have put him in a wheelchair so people will realize he is a patient. He can still move around, but they can secure him in. The doctor is prescribing medication for him, one to make him sleep and I forget what the other does. She says that when they go to visit, he wants to leave with them so they have to walk really fast and get to the door before he does. She says that it is really hard. My heart goes out to them. I can't imagine it.
She said that Jason seems to be doing better all the time, but on doctor's orders is not going back to work this week.
I told her I was sorry she was having to go through so much. Her answer was "you do want you can and let the other go". I told her I meant the emotional part, and her answer, "Who has time for the emotional part". She has a great outlook. I admire her. She probably won't see this compliment because I don't think she has time to blogg. Love Margaret
