Hey y'all
yeah, I'm finally posting. Sorry we won't be able to go camping this weekend. I have to work Saturday, maybe Sunday. Yep, I actually have a job. I'm a "Coach (Manager) in Training" for Hibbett Sports. They're a sporting goods store that has 600 stores in 22 states and expanding. Today was my second day. I'm training at the store in the mall in Warner Robins (30 min or so south of Macon). I work with pretty nice people and I currently enjoy working retail and dealing with people. I'm sure it's possible that this too shall come to pass. I work 5 or so 9 hour days. I've learned alot the past couple days reading the materials, watching the videos and shadowing some of the employees. Made 4 sales today, one for $140. Yes, I'm proud.
Saw Tracy Lawrence play at the Macon City Auditorium (SMALL venue) and it still wasn't sold out. It was a great show, though. He's got a new album coming out in January. He had Chad Rock sing a few of his own songs about 3/4 the way through. It's the first "real" concert I've been to since college, given the Ricochet and Charlie Daniels Band concerts I've seen were put on the USO tours. I must be getting old because I don't get as excited at concerts any more. Just sit there and, shock, listen to the music. ~laugh~
Well, gotta' run. Sorry we'll miss you guys.
Chris
