Camping settled

The date for camping has been set for October 12-October 14, 2007. The venue will be Camp Hatteras at Rodanthe. Please see prior posts for rates. As I blogged earlier, this site has an indoor heated pool as well as a jacuzzi. This made it seem like a better option as far as the kids are concerned. It also has a nice playground and putt putt course. And of course there's the big ol' ocean! There was a ban on fires, but I'm not sure if it was lifted after this weekend's weather. Anyway, please let me know how many campsites will be needed and let's start the menu.

Count me in for one campsite. Do you need the money right away or are you using a credit card? Let us know exactly how much you need. What about hamburgers for Saturday night meal? Everyone could bring enough already made up for their family. Bush beans & applesauce should suffice for sides. Does each campsite have grills or do we need to bring our own?

Great! Do you know if Jeremy/Cathy are coming? I think I remember Cathy having a prior engagement. Does that still stand? I'll check on the grill question.

Jason suggested deep frying a turkey on Saturday. I think it is a great idea! We have all that is needed to cook it, so I volunteer to bring a good sized turkey for Sat. dinner.

Hannah, does that mean you already have the oil also? That sounds great. As long as someone else is bringing all the stuff needed, I'll be glad to pitch in on the cost and also bring a side. We also need to have hotdogs sometime. Cathy does have a conflict. Josie, her maid of honor, is getting married on Saturday, 13th.

No, we can't make it this time. I wouldn't put it past Jeremy to ditch me & the wedding for some salt water fishing though.

So... it sound like we need 1 - RV site and 2 tent sites. Hannah's family and my family are sharing a site unless Ashley and Corey decide to go. Then I'll ask Hannah to share a tent site with Joyce or something. Either way, we should only need two tent sites since two tents can share a site. Turkey or burgers are fine with me. If turkey for dinner...maybe hotdogs for Saturday lunch?

We'll miss seeing everyone that can't come.

I forgot to mention.. I'll put it on my credit card and we can settle up when we get there.

I'll be happy to bring hotdogs, rolls and fixings for lunch. I'm sleeping in Blanchard's RV or Joyce's tent depending on the weather.
