I came across this prayer written by someone named Douglas Adams which I think fits Ed perfectly.

Lord, protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. And Lord, Lord, Lord, protect me from the consequences of the above prayer.

We have an appointment with an oncologist in Rocky Mount on Tuesday at 2:30. He wasn't interested in going back to Chapel Hill. Please continue to pray for us.
