Dad

Dad is still doing well. He plans to go home this weekend. Uncle Weldon and Aunt Margie Ann have called often to check on him. He has called Joan daily, but she has only called him once to check on him. Their relationship is still stressed. Discussions over children and money have been the factors. Joan believes that we (Margaret and Bertha) are trying to keep him from home. She can't seem to understand that we feel we can care for Dad better at my house. We do feel that Dad is recovering well. If he was home, he would still feel obligated to wait on her. At 88, and following surgery, we just feel that he doesn't need to be waiting on anyone. He is welcome to stay at my house as long as he needs or wants to.

We had a nice dinner with Clay and family on his 7th birthday. Three of his ball team members, Emma and Amber, with parents all went to Pizza Hut. School has good well thus far and we have been enjoying the cooler weather even though it's been wet.
