Summerlin Family

Well, the original 4 Summerlins are here in Roanoke Rapids hoping for a miracle but expecting the end. Yesterday, Dad did not do a whole lot of talking some of which made sense and some did not. He slept well through the night on the couch with Mom by his side in the recliner. He has been slightly agitated this morning...seems to be still fighting with all his might, but he hasn't said much today. The hospice nurse came and said she was surprised to see him still alive today. We all know he is a tough guy. He is resting peacefully for now.

Keep us in your prayers (and Jeremy, too, who is keeping the babies).

Much love to ya'll and many prayers to God on Ed behalf, we send. Let us know what and when we can do anything at all. Ben offers his music abilities is you need him. Cathy - I'm cooking.

You are all in our prayers. I did not sleep well last night. Each time waking up, my thoughts were with your family and each time said a prayer. I guess cooking is one way that the Byrum girls feel helpful. I did not come to work today until 2 because I wanted to get everything done that I wanted to.
You all know that if there is anything we can do, just call.

Right now, no matter what happens when, the plan is still to go to the campgrounds this weekend. I would have been staying in hotel anyway. Even if we cancelled, we would still have to pay full price.
It won't be the same kind of camping trip, but we will be all together. We can reminisce and cry together and we'll be close to Roanoke Rapids. See you soon.
