Ocracoke Easter Gathering

Dig through your old craft supplies or whatever you may have lying around....We're gonna make Easter bonnets! I'll bring some stuff I have lying around (eggs, flowers, tulle, ribbon) and if anyone else has anything they can bring, please do! We'll sport our new bonnets at breakfast on Easter Sunday! Can't wait!!!

Forgot to mention dyeing Easter eggs. Anyone up for that? I can boil them ahead of time if someone can bring dye materials.

Will be dining together at other meals? Do we need to make a menu? I know our rooms will not have cooking apparatus, so it would have to be grilled or propane stovable.

You plan and we will follow.

I'll be happy to bring dyeing materials. As far as meals, I don't see any need for menu. Where would we eat? I assume that our rooms are simply sleeping rooms, am I wrong. Since I've never been there, I really don't know the setup. If anyone plans otherwise, I'll be happy to contribute whatever.

Maybe we can cook breakfast for everyone @ our camper on Saturday morning if that works out for everyone's schedule. I plan to go to the ocean front sunrise service if all want to join me on Sunday. Searched for details on line today, but could only find that there will be a sunrise service, but no details.

I was planning on having an Easter egg hunt for the kids, too. How many little kids will be there? I know Emma, Ridge, and Savannah will be there, but who else? Need to make sure I have enough eggs.

I have a bunch maybe 24+ plastic eggs if you want me to bring them. I also have the dye.

Extra plastic eggs would be nice. Thanks.

I, too, have about 24 plastic eggs and will bring them. The weather is supposed to be around 80 for the weekend, YIPPEE!!!! The rooms do not have any cooking aparatus except microwave (possibly). I didn't know if we wanted to do hotdogs on grill or maybe sub stuff. Just a thought; nothing set in stone. Emma will be the only other child that I know of right now. Also, instead of dyeing eggs, Bertha mentioned that her LGN kids dyed sand dollars and I thought that would be more appropriate since we will be at beach. Maybe some of those white starfish too. I'll pick these up along the way. Also, our plan was to take a boat over to Portsmouth Island on Saturday. This is supposedly the best time for shell hunting and last year we picked up quite a few sand dollars.

I'm up for any of the above, eye dying, starfish dying, eating, eating, eating, sonrise service, eeg hunt, bonnet making; whatever is going on will be fine with me.
Looking forward to it. Christie, what is the exact location for the hotel. I'll look at earlier blog and find out the name
