Hey Gang! Greetings from the Peach State Belvin clan. Let's see....Last Friday, Chris had his Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet. He's a First Year Webelos now. Well, he hasn't earned the Webelos Badge, but that's his den. He didn't get any awards because he just joined the den, having moved and all. However, today he did complete one of the tasks to earning his "Ready Man" badge. Check this out: Christopher is the first 10 year old that I've ever heard of that became Adult CPR/AED (Auto External Defibilator- the portable "jumper cable" things) Certified. I'm volunteering with the Macon-Bibb Co. Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and have to get First Aid, CPR and Rescue certifications. The local Red Cross was doing a free CPR clinic (better than the $15 I'd have had to pay doing it through the Fire Dept) at a church today and Chris and I went and got certified. Michelle, Beverly and I are VERY proud of him. Although I scored higher on the written test than he did, he and I both got a kick out of his answering correctly the question I missed. He's got a den overnight camp out in a couple of weeks. We're looking forward to that.

Michelle is still working the switchboard for a dermatologist/dermatological surgery clinic Mon-Thurs and working the switchboard Sat/Sun 2 weekends a month at her mom's hospital. I've got an interview with Ga state EMA for a Radiological Preparedness trainer position on the 11th in Atlanta and an interview with Ga Dept of Transportation for a Training Specialist position on the 19th. Everybody pray and cross your fingers. I hate that MIchelle is basicly working 2 jobs while I'm just collecting unemployment. I feel it ought to be the other way around. However, Beverly's benefiting from it. Yesterday we put in a plastic fence around the hill side of the pool to keep the dogs out of the junipers, one of Angel's favorite snacks. Cortlyn and Mandi are doing well. Mandi learns her new sight words with ease and is impressing us all. She just got her hair cut back to the short "Pixie cut" style. She's so cute. My Corky is growing up and becoming self-sufficient. She helps me with dinner and taking care of the house. And, much to the wrecking of my nerves, she's boy crazy; has 2 boyfriends and always wants to talk to her girlfriends on the phone. In second grade! Arrrghhh! We'll definitely have to have multiple phone lines when the kids get older. While I hope I get one of these jobs, I hope it doesn't get in the way of coming up to Va in April for the kids spring break. Well, that's about it for now. Take care, everyone.
