Dad went back to Dr. Hasket yesterday and got a good report. Both times that we've visited Dr. Hasket, he's alluded to how lucky Dad is to have survived pancreatitis. So I surmised that at Dad's age, it could have very well took him away from us. In April, Dad weighed 147, when he left the hospital - 144, two weeks ago - 140, and yesterday - 148. So his family must be doing a good job feeding him! We went out to eat after his appt., road around the county and looked at the crops, visited Amy Asbell and Christie Ervin. We had a nice afternoon. He sees Dr. Smith, the cardiologist on June 16, goes back to see Dr. Hasket Aug. 6, and doesn't see Dr. Davis until time to remove the gall bladder. I think Dr Smith decides when Dad's heart is ready to remove gall bladder. So far every doctor has given him a good report.
More important news! Rick and I are going to be parents! One of our hens is setting on eggs and should be hatching within the week (I think). I got a text from Amber requesting 3 chicks for her birthday yesterday. Wish us luck and look for a ribbon on our mailbox!
