Ed's appointment

Ed's CT scan showed changes since the previous one. The doctor suggested a round of chemo called xeloda which is a pill form. She thought maybe Ed's system could tolerate this form better even though the side effects are basically the same. She said that if Ed opted not to go the chemo route, she could take his case to the tumor board to see if they would approve other treatment for the liver. She said that she did not advise this as the liver would be the only thing treated, as with chemo his whole system would be treated. She said it was a slow growing cancer so Ed is to let her know his decision. She gave us her email address and her pager number which was very thoughtful. So for now the ball is in Ed's court. I pray that he makes a decision soon as limbo is not a comfortable place to be. I'm trying not to pressure him (I have to live with him) but that doesn't mean others can't, if they so desire.
