Camping?

I've seen various messages float through my Facebook about camping before I got final word that we'll be celebrating Granddad's birthday on the 16th. Does this mean that we are doing this instead of camping, or has a consensus been reached on whether we are ALSO doing camping? Yeah, I am kind of slow at times. Thanks.
